Our parish uses Pflaum Gospel Weeklies as our core material for K-8. The Weeklies are a liturgically-based catechetical program that helps parents participate in their important role as the first educators of your children.
During the conditions with COVID-19 in parish classes are suspended. If you wish to teach your children at home using the Weeklies here are some helpful resources.
We’re happy to assist your catechists and families during this difficult time. By helping each other, it makes it a little easier for all of us to endure these challenges. Catechists and parents will use these same procedures to access the Gospel Weeklies online.
Click on “What is Pflaum Doing in Response to Covid-19?” and you will see a list of the different levels – Seeds for PK, Promise for K-1, Good News for 2-3, Venture for 4-6, and Visions for 7-9. You have the option of downloading each weeks lesson and forwarding it as an attachment. However, if parents log in on their own, they will have access to weekly videos, Gospel readings, coloring pages, assessments and more. I would recommend doing whatever you think families will best respond to.
Our publisher put together a video for parents teaching the Gospel Weeklies at home.
