“And it happened that, while He was with them at the table, He took bread, said the blessing, broke it, and gave it to them. With that, their eyes were opened and they recognized Him, but He vanished from their sight. Then they said to each other, ‘Were not our hearts burning within us while He spoke to us on the way and opened the Scriptures to us?’” (Luke 24:30-32)
Jesus Christ is present to us in the Sacred Scriptures and in the Mass, the Breaking of the Bread. Using the Lectio Divina method of studying the Sunday Old and New Testament readings, coordinated with the Catechism of the Catholic Church, helps us to cover the Deposit of Faith in three years.
This helps us to shape our lives and consciences according to the Magisterium of the Catholic Church and to participate with Christ configuring us to Himself, making us ready for Him to present us to our Heavenly Father for all eternity.
Come join us in our weekly encounter with God either through the Mass or our weekly Bible Study.
